Block Clubs
Since 1996, NeighborWorks® Dakota Home Resources (NWDHR) has organized Neighborhood Block Clubs within the communities of Central City, Deadwood, Lead, Edgemont, Box Elder and Rapid City. Through these Block Clubs, NWDHR works toward their mission of neighborhood revitalization. While each Block Club is different, all have the common goal of improving and revitalizing their neighborhood.
Block Club projects include beautification, clean up of central areas, assisting seniors in the neighborhood with projects and clean up, hanging of Christmas lights, and socials. There are seven block clubs throughout Deadwood; Presidential, Rodeo Grounds, Peck Gardens, Burnham, Survivors’ Ridge and Upper Main.
